170 Companies at 'Honduras Open for Business'

170 companies have confirmed their attendance to the event, which will be held on May 5th and 6th.

The activity will include business conferences, an exhibition of Honduran exporters and an International Business Forum.

During the event the Government will present more than one hundred projects totaling approximately $ 5.000 million in investments.

Foreign Minister Mario Canahuati, told the media that "... up until today more than 170 investors have confirmed their participation, including 50 businessmen from Taiwan and 25 from China and Canada," published La Tribuna on its website.

At the upcoming "Honduras is open for business" event 21 energy projects will be presented to 325 investors, which have already confirmed their presence.

An article in Laprensa.hn reports that the Honduran Foreign Affairs Ministry is expecting the companies interested in the renewable energy generation projects to include Italy's National Electrical Energy Company and Brazil's specialist damn building company, Norberto Odebrecht, as well as important Chinese investors.
