Investments Announced in Hotels in Guatemala
The industry is looking to regain ground in the country with the expansion of four chains of hotels by the end of 2016.

La Quinta Inns & Suites, Hyatt, Four Seasons and Marriott hotels are to be added to the supply in the Guatemalan market. Zone 10, Quetzaltenango and Antigua are some of the locations that will host these projects.
With an investment of $67 million the Spanish chain Riu Hotels & Resorts will build a beach resort in the district of Rio Hato, Cocle Province.
Marriott International has announced plans to convert the hotel Bristol Buenaventura in Panama into the first resort and the first hotel under their brand name in Panama.
Construction has started of a 100-room Marriott Courtyard and work will soon begin on a Hyatt Place which will have 120 rooms.
Situated on the Azuero Peninsula, the Cubitá Boutique Resort & Spa hotel comprises of 100 luxury rooms, a convention center, a shopping mall and a residential area.
