SUU Hotels Enters Costa Rica

In August, the Asian hospitality chain will inaugurate a hotel in Manuel Antonio, in the pacific coast.

The 28-room hotel features a natural theme, and has been categorized as a small, luxury hotel.

Riu Hotels to Open New Hotel in Panama

On November 2010, Riu Hotels and Resorts will inaugurate a 5-star, $125 million hotel: Riu Panama Plaza.

The hotel is located in the financial and banking district of Panama City, its owner chain betting on pleasure as well as business tourism.

Costa Rica: $25 Million for 2 New Hotels

"Fashion Hotels", an Austrian chain, will open one of the hotels in Puerto Viejo this month and the other in Manuel Antonio in July.

The hotel that is located in Puerto Viejo is named Le Caméléon and it required an investment of $5 million. The one that is being built in Manuel Antonio is named The Ocean and it will cost $20 million.

Decameron Comes to Costa Rica

The Colombian hotel chain has announced its entry into the Costa Rican market with the opening of two hotels.

According to a publication in the Colombian newspaper, El Tiempo, the openings will be in the first half of this year in San Jose and Jaco.

Ximena Gomez, sales manager of the chain, without disclosing the amount of investment, said that the establishments will be called Royal Decameron Irazu (330 rooms) and Decameron Jacó Beach (130 rooms).

Panama: More than 20 New Hotels in 2012

With an investment of $1,500 million more than twenty hotels will open their doors this year in Panama.

This will mean the incorporation of six thousand new rooms to the hotel industry market, said Sarah Brown, president of the Panamanian Association of Hotels (APATEL).
