Panama: $30 Million Water Treatment Plant
For the second half of 2011 sewers authority IDAAN plans to build a water treatment plant in the city of Colón.

Rodrigo Barragán, IDAAN executive, told Bnamericas that they are conducting feasibility studies for the project, which would be capable of handling 114 million liters a day.
The Aqueducts and Sewers Institute will improve its treatment plant in Santiago, Veraguas.
On April, authorities will invite bids for conducting a feasibility study for building a water treatment plant in Colón.
An agreement has been made to transfer resources to the Institute of Aqueducts and Sewage Systems in order to carry out water treatment works, buy equipment and renovate wells.
Specifications are being prepared for the launch of a tender in January 2016 for works to expand daily capacity of a water by 10 million gallons at the treatment plant in the district of Panama.
