Monday, March 22, 2010
Pending topics include access for Central American agriculture products to Europe (banana and sugar) and sustainable development.
The countries of the isthmus have proposed finalizing the technical aspects of the agreement during this last round.
Central American negotiators expect Europe to improve its offer for sugar, coffee, banana, meat and rum.
Even after long sessions, the European Union and Central America have been unable to close the commercial chapter of their Association Agreement.
The region must now define how to distribute the import and export quotas negotiated with the European Union.
