Medical Tourism Increases in Panama

In the last 6 months, medical tourism has increased 1000%, according to Hospital Punta Pacífica, leading player in the industry.

Andrés Caballero, manager of the Hospital, reported that "in February, we used to attend 3 patients each month. We are now serving 30".

"Medical tourism has gained advantage in the last months due to Panama's competitive prices when compared to the United States, where most visitors come from", reports Laestrella.com.pa.
