Holcim El Salvador Invests $22 Million

Thomas Knoepfel, member of Holcim’s global executive committee, explained they have slowed down investment due to the global crisis.
With an investment of $27 million, International Ternium has modernized and expanded its steel plant in Villa Nueva.
The inauguration of the new facility, capable of outputting an extra 3.300 tons of cement, is expected for February 24th.
So far this year Chevron has invested $8 million in the opening of three stations and plans to start expanding the storage terminal in Acajutla.
Breweries “Barú Panamá” and “Nacional” will invest to enlarge their production facilities and improve their sales infrastructure.
