HP Invests $13 Million in Panama

A new global services center will attend Panama and several Latin American countries.

In its new facilities, the multinational corporation offers tech support and outsourcing services. It employs 145 workers, and has generated an additional 100 indirect jobs.

From Laestrella.com.pa: "Additionally, a technology training center will be built in Panama, after an agreement was signed with the Vocational Training Institute for Human Development and the Technological University of Panama".

New Sykes Operations Center in Costa Rica

Between 2009 and 2013 the revenues generated by the sector which outsources business services increased from $225 million to $650 million at the end of 2013.

For the development of this industry to continue "... Invest in Guatemala together with other institutions has designed a strategy with a vision for 2020 ", with the aim of achieving, over a period of five years, the generation of $2.3 billion in services and thus contribute 3.57% to the gross domestic product (GDP).

Exceltec expands operations in Costa Rica

With an investment of $3.5 million, the company extended its telemarketing and collection management segment services.

Exceltec is a company that provides information technology and business process outsourcing services. It will hire 111 employees between June and December 2009 to expand its telemarketing and collection management service operations.
