The consumer price index (CPI) measures the average change in prices of a group of goods and services corresponding to the most important items among households expenses (ENIGFAM 2009-2010). This index is based on a comparison with December 2010.
The change from December 2009 to November 2010 of the General Price Index was 6.11%, 3.54% more than the annual variation in the same period last year (2.57%).
The variation from July 2010 to June 2011 of the General Index is 5.18%, down 1.13% compared to the variation in the same period last year, which was 6.31%.
The cumulative variation of the first five months of 2013 is 3.22%, 2.50% higher than that of 2012.
This low level of price increases is mainly due to less economic activity.
