Flight from Panama - San Francisco Being Discussed

United Airlines is interested in adding direct flights between Tocumen International Airport and San Francisco.

An article in Prensa.com reports that "The world's biggest airline by passenger movements, United Arilines, is interested in establishing another direct flight between the U.S. and Panama. Last week, company officials met with Panamanian authorities and private sector representatives in order to study the feasibility of a third connection between the two countries. "

United currently operates direct flights from Panama to the cities of New Jersey and Houston.

Copa Announces New Tampa-Panama Flight

Starting next December the airline will start flights between Tampa International Airport, Florida, and Tocumen in Panama.

The new route will link passengers from Tampa with Central American countries and those in South America, through Copa's hub in Panama.

No details have been released about the flight, to verify if Copa Airlines will use a Boeing 737 aircraft.

More Direct Flights Miami-Roatan

Due to an increase in demand, from June 12, American Airlines will start up a second frequency between Miami and Roatan.

This was confirmed by Verna Osorto, director of the airline in Honduras, who explained that the decision reflects the growing interest of American tourists in the Honduran destination, who since last November have had a direct flight between Miami and the island.

The Colombian airline Avianca has announced that as of September 17 it will run four flights a week between San Salvador and Chicago, United States.

Prensa.com reports: "The flight will be operated with an Airbus A319 aircraft, with capacity for 120 passengers, including 12 business class seats and 108 in tourist class, the company said."
