A statement from the National Environmental Authority reads:

The government of the Republic of Panama, has received funding from the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB) to partially cover the costs of a "Modernization Program of Environmental Management for Competitiveness 1912/OC-PN." Funds from this financing will be directed towards making payments under a Loan Agreement.

The National Environmental Authority (ANAM), through the Operational Planning Unit (UPO) Program is inviting consulting firms from IDB member countries, specialized and experienced in this type of work, to send their expression of interest to participate in a consultancy on: "Development of Integrated Management Plan for the Organization and Advocacy Committee of the Caimito River Basin (140)" Procurement Plan 2012.

The Secretary of State will receive expressions of interest for the Feasibility Study for the Mixcure River hydroelectric development project.

Services required include the development of consultancy project entitled "Feasibility Study of Hydropower Development at Mixcure River, Environmental Assessment and Elaboration of Implementation Strategy for Hydroelectric Development at Mixcure River," the objective of the consultancy is to provide ENEE and higher authorities with a feasibility study on Hydroelectric Development at Mixcure River and an implementation strategy that will allow the Government of Honduras to execute the renewable energy project according to the law.
