The bank has a portfolio of 100.000 customers processing about 13.500 daily transactions and seeks to implement an integrated IT platform to help manage, record and control the operating revenue and expenses regarding to:

- Accounting records
- Credit management
- Collections management
- Recording and control of customer relationship
- Administration and effective control of warranties and guarantees
- Security Control
- International operations control
- Administration and cash control
- Cashiers and platforms
Additionally, the institution seeks to have technology to position itself in the financial system by offering new services, electronic banking, telephone banking, automated transactions, ATM's and point of sale (POS), and also have the ability to manage in an efficient, timely, reliable and comprehensive way the information required by the various regulators and auditors.
Interested companies have until January 24th to submit their proposals.

The Agricultural Development Bank (BFA in Spanish) is inviting bids for the implementation of a Banking Information System (CORE BANKING).
The bank currently has a portfolio of 148,000 customers, with an average volume of about 23.300 daily transactions.
What is required is the implementation of a Banking Information System (Core Banking) with the following modules:
Three banks, Nacional, “Desarrollo Agropecuario” and “Hipotecario” invited bids for $21 million in IT infrastructure.
21 companies participated in the first informational meeting. They must submit their Bids before April 29.
“Both domestic and foreign suppliers may bid. They are required to have experience in installing, applying and operating this kind of technology”, reported Prensa.com.
Bids were invited to provide a Core Banking system for various state-owned banks.
The contract comprises licenses, installation, adaptation, migration and implementation of a banking management system, integration with other systems and reports.
It will be used by “Banco Nacional de Panama”, “Banco de Desarrollo Agropecuario” and “Banco Hipotecario Nacional”.
Data Pro Inc was the only company which complied with the requirements for supplying a Core Banking System to state-owned banks.
The contract comprises installing a Core Banking system at three state banks: “Banco de Desarrollo Hipotecario”, “Banco Nacional de Panamá”, and “Banco Hipotecario Nacional”.
