In order to expand options for business travelers and tourism in the city of Panama, Real Hotels and Resorts chain, a subsidiary of Grupo Poma in Central America, will open this month the second hotel by the Marriott chain in the country.
The hotel is located in Metromall, a 85,000 square meter shopping center, 15 minutes from Tocumen International Airport.
An article in salvador.com states: "Metromall is located near a renowned residential highly commercial area and called Punta Pacifica, which is characterized by its easy access to major roads in the city. "

The IHG hotel chain has signed a franchise to open a 198 room hotel in July 2012.
The hotel will be operated by Latin American Hospitality Management Inc., the hospitality division of the Salvadoran group Agrisal, who have signed a long-term strategic agreement with IHG to expand in the region.
With an investment of $28 million, the company R & R International is developing three resorts.
Located in San Carlos, the Ibiza Chic Hotels Playa Corona, with 108 rooms, opened its doors last week.
The other two developments, with 235 rooms, are located in Coronado and Rio Hato.
With an investment of $16 million the Colombian developer Terranum has inaugurated Hotel Aloft.
The building is located in Santa Ana will be managed by Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
"Paul Downey, general manager of Aloft Costa Rica, said that this line has existed since 2008 and has about 60 hotels around the world", according to an article in Elfinancierocr.com.
The Panamera will be renamed Waldorf Astoria Panama, and will open before the end of 2012, under the management of Hilton Worldwide.
With 248 rooms and luxury residences the Waldorf Astoria Panama is located within walking distance of Calle Uruguay, about 25 minutes from Tocumen International Airport and two blocks from downtown and the business district.
