In Costa Rica, Decameron will open this year a 330-room Royal Decameron Irazu in San Jose, and one in Jaco Beach, with 130 rooms.

The new hotels are part of the group’s international expansion plans, which foresees the opening of 6 branches in different countries during the first half of 2012, and the launching of a further 9 projects in the second half of the year, among them the expansion of its Senegal hotel and the Islander in San Andres.

The Colombian hotel chain has announced its entry into the Costa Rican market with the opening of two hotels.
According to a publication in the Colombian newspaper, El Tiempo, the openings will be in the first half of this year in San Jose and Jaco.
Ximena Gomez, sales manager of the chain, without disclosing the amount of investment, said that the establishments will be called Royal Decameron Irazu (330 rooms) and Decameron Jacó Beach (130 rooms).
After issuing certificates for $45 million, the group has announced the expansion of hotel Decameron Salinitas, and the construction of two new establishments.
The proceeds from the securitization will fund 75% of the $60 million required for the projects announced, which will be the collateral for the certificates issued.
$20 million will be invested in developing 350 new residences.
Marta Molina, spokesperson for Royal Decameron Golf Beach, Resort & Villas, explained they will also invest in enlarging the hotel and building a shopping center.
Prensa.com reports: “the mall will boast 30.000 square meters of commercial space”.
The Wyndham Milagro del Mar Resort will offer 212 rooms on the Nicaraguan Pacific coast in San Diego beach, in Villa El Carmen.
The property will be developed by HB International, and its opening is planned for next year.
This will be the first Wyndham hotel in Nicaragua and its opening is scheduled for 2014, generating nearly 300 local jobs and becoming an anchor project in the Gran Pacifica resort, covering 1,440 hectares with more than four kilometers of beach.
