Central America-Dominican Republic Trade and Competitiveness Conference
Caribbean Central American Action
Bringing together leaders of the public and private sector to address critical issues challenging competitiveness in Central America.
Washington, DC – Caribbean Central American Action (CCAA) is pleased to announce the dates for a special conference event that will look at competitiveness in Central America and the Dominican Republic and its impact on the region's trade and development. The Central America-Dominican Republic Trade & Competitiveness Conference will take place on June 16-17, 2010 at the Hotel Real InterContinental in San Salvador, El Salvador.
Partnering with one of Central America's leading private sector organizations, the Salvadoran Foundation for Economic and Social Development (FUSADES), CCAA will be hosting this conference as a forum to examine some of the critical issues that have affected the region's competitiveness since the passage of the Dominican Republic-Central America Free Trade Agreement (DR-CAFTA). This conference will bring together business, government, and civil society leaders from throughout the region to discuss how underlying drivers of competitiveness such as education, access to finance, and logistics have played a role in the region's performance.
CCAA has been promoting private sector-led development in Central America and the Caribbean for over 3 decades and is host to the Miami Conference on the Caribbean and Central America, which continues to be the premiere trade and policy forum for the countries of the Caribbean Basin.
