In economic crisis, financial entities offer their clients new options of credit and savings.
Incorporating into the second tier banking system, Fundecooperación can authorize credits to an organization and at the same time make loans to its members. The credits should conform to one of the following areas: sustainable agriculture, sustainable tourism, gender equality, and clean technologies.

Leticia Vindas writes in El Financiero’s website: “Grupo Mutual Alajuela La Vivienda launched its product “Multisavings.” It is a service that allows clients to define goals and objectives for savings and, with the help of Grupo Mutual representatives, designates the necessary amount into a savings account in order to achieve them.”
