The Tablet Business in Guatemala

During the first half of 2012, 40,000 tablets were sold, 52% more than in the same period in 2011.

This record growth contrasts with the increase of only 5% in sales of computers, laptops and netbooks.

The president of the Union of IT Businesses, Barreondo Manuel said that maintaining this growth rate, they will end the year with a total of 80,000 tablets sold.

Guatemalans Buy 63% More Online

For 2010, industry spokespersons forecast sales to grow between 8 and 10%.
