Tender for Energy and Transmission Line
ETESA is putting out to tender the supply of firm power and energy required for the isla Colon and other islands, and the construction of 41 miles of interconnecting line, including three under the sea.

Concurrency Act No. 02-12 by ETESA states:
The National Authority of Public Services has approved a proposal for a tender submitted by the Empresa de Transmisión Eléctrica to contract out 200 MW.
The Ministry of Health is putting out to tender the acquisition of power plants for II level of care hospitals.
Growing by 10% a year as Panama is currently doing is energy intensive, meaning that the demand for rental generators is constantly growing.
The Empresa de Transmisión Eléctrica S.A. de Panamá will be putting out to tender the supply of energy exclusively generated by hydro power for the period July 1, 2013 to December 31, 2027.
