Panama: School Equipment Tender for $5.3 million

The Ministry of Education wishes to acquire 713.663 backpacks with school supplies for public school students nationwide.

According to the specifications of the tender, they want to buy 51.751 backpacks for pre-schoolers and 661.912 for school age students, including primary middle and upper education.

The packs must bear the logo of the Ministry of Education and include a number of pieces of equipment, among which include scissors, pencils and notebooks.

Interested companies must submit their bids on June 25, 2012. Additionally, there will be an approval meeting on May 28.

The international tender is for printing and reproduction of Methodological Guidelines, Community Workshop Booklets and Certificates for facilitators who complete their training.

Guatemala: School Supplies for $120 million

January 2015

The Ministry of Education has announced it will spend $120 million on the purchase of school meals, textbooks, educational materials and sports equipment during the year.

Of the total amount $3.7 million will be allocated for the purchase of instructional textbooks, $94 million for school dinners, $13.9 million for free education and finally $8.4 million for the purchase of books.

Firms interested in providing the service must submit their application electronically, complying with the technical requirements established, such as delivery time, quality and other things.

From November 5 applications will be received from companies or individuals who are interested in providing uniforms, shoes and school supplies to 1.4 million students.
