The Canal Authority will open the envelopes containing the economic proposals from the three qualified consortiums on July 8th.
All at the same time, the technical evaluations from the participating consortiums will be revealed. The consortiums are: CANAL, Bechtel Taipei and Mitsubishi, and Grupo Unidos por el Canal.
According to prensa.com, “The economic proposals were submitted on March 3 and, since then, they have remained in a vault at the Balboa branch of Banco Nacional along with an envelope with the official prices submitted by the ACP administrator, Alberto Alemán.”
